For Severe Flexion greater than 50°

SilverRing™ Dorsal Extension Splint

To treat a contracture of greater than 50° we generally recommend trying serial casting, dynamic splints, or gutter splints to reduce the contracture prior to ordering SilverRing™ Splints. SilverRing™ Splints can then be used to maintain the reduced contracture.

If contracture is greater than 50° and not reducible, a hinged ring can be used for the proximal ring of a Dorsal Extension Splint (DOE). A hinged ring is needed to allow the splint to be worn. Please call for more information.
